Mid June Update
over 8 years ago – Tue, Aug 04, 2015 at 02:50:53 PM

Things are in full swing! Development pushes forward on all fronts, and we're making games!  Every week, the games come more into focus as we add in the assets and work that our artists and composer have created.  The title sequence for The Order of the Thorne has been completed, and it's pretty awesome (if I do say so myself!)  The opening music and narration are done, and it really has the feel of a classic storybook adventure.  I'll probably post a preview video for backers only soon, to give you a taste!

Backerkit will remain open until the end of August - at that point, we'll lock down and charge your credit cards if you've added any items, such as boxes, etc.  So make sure you're ready to go then - if you're not, please send me a message before August 30th and I'll sort it out for you.

If you missed out on some rewards, you can still add them in Backerkit - we just got the Big Boxes in for our last game, Quest for Infamy, and they turned out gorgeous.  It makes us even excited to finalize the designs for the Order of the Thorne Boxes and get them produced.

Don't miss out - visit Backerkit, fill out your surveys and add items if you like!

Thanks again to everyone who supports us and independent adventure games! I think there's an exciting year ahead for all of us who love classic point and click adventure games. Talk to you soon!  As always, if you have any questions - please send me a PM here or an email - [email protected]

Update: June!
almost 9 years ago – Sat, Jun 06, 2015 at 04:31:13 PM

Hey friends!

Just a quick check in - we're working on the games, as usual.  Fizzii and Jon have been working on backgrounds in Order of the Thorne, and giving us some really great visuals.  Jerm has been working on our games GUIs, along with other game animations.  Our talented animation whiz, Dr. Slash, has churned out some great character animations and some fun inventory item graphics.  Jenny has started working on portraits for Order of the Thorne, and they're looking amazing. We're really rolling along!

James has also been steadily composing new themes for The Order of the Thorne - he's exploring new arrangements, instruments and ethereal sounds to create the fantasy world of The Order of the Thorne.  Have a listen to one of the tracks here!

(This is a work in progress; final version in game may vary. But enjoy anyway!)

Thanks to all who have filled out their backerkit responses; I mainly needed information on who was getting what boxes, etc, so I can get an estimated count of how many to produce.  Other questions, such as "What do you want your honor stone to say?" or "What is your book about?" etc. can be answered later, for sure.

You can always add boxes and other rewards if you missed them during the Kickstarter in backerkit.  Or if there are people out there who missed it entirely, you'll be able to pick up these goodies until September 1st, 2015 - this is when we'll be closing the backerkit surveys.

As always, the more work we do on this - the more excited I get.  Pretty soon, we'll have some backer exclusive artworks to show you from the games.  Thanks again to everyone out there keeping the flame alive for adventure games, and giving of themselves and their time for this.  I can't say enough how much I appreciate it.

As always, if you have any questions, let me know, and I'll do my best to answer them!

Backerkit Invites Coming soon!
almost 9 years ago – Wed, May 20, 2015 at 06:16:46 PM

Hello there, my most excellent backers!

Thank you, again, for funding our projects. Without your generosity, this wouldn’t be possible, and I can't stress that enough.  We're definitely lucky, because you give to us both in finance and friendship, and we're very, very fortunate to have an amazing relationship like that as developers.

This is your heads up for the Backerkit Survey! It is important that when you receive the survey, you get it back to us as quickly as you can.  You do not need to make a login and password to fill out your survey, just fill it out and you are all set.

If you prefer, you can just message me and give me your info, but filling out BackerKit will help out our project tremendously, and help us get your rewards out to you quicker!

If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit invite will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email you prefer it to be sent to, please email [email protected].

BIG BOXES AND ADD-ONS

Within Backerkit, you should see a section for add-ons.  If you've added the extra money to your pledge, you should be able to select the add-ons with the credit you have.  For instance, if you picked the $35 reward tier, and pledged $155 (You want the Big Box and Slimcase with US Shipping).  Backerkit selects the $35 tier for you, and you have $120 in credit, which you can use to select the Big-Box and US shipping.

When the time comes and you have problems or questions, please feel free to send me a message here or [email protected] and I can help.

You can also purchase these add-ons through backerkit, if you didn't during the campaign - Backerkit accepts payments via Credit Card through Stripe.

Whew!  I am very excited, the team is excited, and we're making some awesome games.  I'll see you soon!

Backerkit Invites in Two Weeks!
almost 9 years ago – Tue, May 05, 2015 at 09:35:23 PM

Hey guys!

Just want to give you an update; I've set everything up on Backerkit; in about two weeks, invites will go out to you at the email addresses you provided Kickstarter.  On Backerkit, you'll be able to select your add-ons - for Big Boxes, you can select each item separately (Big Box for TKC, Big Box for FoF, or DVD Slimcase for QFI:R2R) if you only wanted to buy a single item.  They are also listed in bundles, which save you money and shipping - The 3 Pack, includes FoF, TKC Big Boxes & DVD Slim Case, or the FoF & TKC Big Boxes only, no Slimcase.  You'll see the options on backerkit when you get the invite - if you have any problems, you can always contact me directly.

Thanks again to everyone!  Can't wait to get these games rolling on out!
